Pediatric MRI Technologist Ottawa
CHEO
Deliver pediatric MRI imaging in Ottawa with CHEO, applying magnet safety and patient-focused care across complex clinical cases.
As an MRI Technologist, you will work with CHEO’s Medical Imaging Patient Service Unit and MR team. Your work includes neuro, musculoskeletal, abdominal, and cardiac imaging. The position requires accurate records, equipment troubleshooting, and collaboration with radiologists, sedation staff, technologists, and anaesthesia.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional care across varied pediatric clinical cases
Perform neuro, musculoskeletal, abdominal, and cardiac MRI scans
Maintain magnet safety for patients and staff
Record accurate patient and examination information
Troubleshoot medical imaging and ancillary equipment
Requirements:
Complete post-diploma MR training or recognized equivalent
Hold MRI Certification or complete it within six months
Maintain current CMRITO registration and BCLS certification
Bring three years of pediatric radiography experience, preferred
Work rotating shifts, on-call coverage, weekends, and holidays
Support CHEO’s MRI team through pediatric imaging expertise, safety awareness, accurate documentation, and compassionate patient care in Ottawa.
