Freight Brokerage Capacity Coordinator

Coordinate awarded freight and protect shipment accuracy as a Carrier Capacity Specialist at 300 Maple Grove Road, Cambridge, Ontario. The work is permanent and on-site.
This position serves as the frontline freight acquisition expert for spot opportunities across Canadian, cross-border, and intra-United States markets. You will respond to customer portals, spot boards, quote inboxes, and other channels while securing carrier capacity and supporting excellent customer service. The role requires accurate documentation, effective handoffs, issue resolution, and close coordination with Operations Specialists and Track & Trace. You will also maintain approved-system records, capture carrier feedback, strengthen data quality, and support process improvements. Compensation is a salary range of $75,000 to $80,000 plus incentives or commissions.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to available freight opportunities across multiple channels
Document shipment details, pricing, requirements, and commitments accurately
Hand awarded shipments to Operations and Track & Trace
Support customer experience through communication and issue resolution
Identify process improvements in data and carrier management
Requirements:
Three to five years in freight brokerage or carrier management
Experience supporting capacity procurement and spot freight activities
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities
Organizational skills for managing multiple priorities simultaneously
Proficiency in transportation management systems and Microsoft Office
Bring freight operations expertise, accurate execution, and carrier coordination skills to the Capacity Specialist team in Cambridge.
