Elementary Special Education Teacher

Teach elementary students at STRIDES- Holy Name through special education, case conferences, and collaborative clinical team support in Toronto.
The Toronto Catholic District School Board seeks a Care and Treatment Education Programs Elementary Teacher. The role requires two years of successful qualified teaching experience in special education or alternative programs by June 2026, plus Special Education and Junior/Intermediate qualifications. You will support students’ academic, spiritual, socio-emotional, and physical growth through focused educational programming.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in case conferences focused on student needs and goals
Provide informal student assessments within educational programs
Develop programs and provide program modifications
Liaise with teachers during student transitions
Collaborate with agency treatment teams in shared classrooms
Requirements:
Two years of qualified teaching experience by June 2026
Qualifications in Special Education
Qualifications in Junior/Intermediate Divisions
Pastoral reference letter and positive principal recommendation
Experience or training supporting students with Autism is an asset
