Help diverse NAIT students navigate programs, enrolment, payments, and policies using empathy, critical thinking, and confident communication.
This temporary Student Service Specialist position supports a high-volume Student Service Centre through hybrid service delivery. You will serve as a first point of contact for students and the public, identifying needs through active listening and effective questioning. Your work connects people with accurate information and appropriate departmental support.
Key Responsibilities:
Explain complex admission and student service processes clearly
Guide potential students through NAIT program selection
Analyze accounts and connect enquiries with departments
Provide payment, enrolment, and transaction assistance
Anticipate concerns and identify follow-up opportunities
Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalency
Experience in post-secondary institutions preferred
Front-facing service or call centre experience an asset
Exceptional interpersonal communication and collaborative relationship-building
Ability to manage information volumes accurately and calmly
Use empathy, communication, and problem-solving skills to help NAIT students access responsive, accurate service across channels.
