Primary Care Paramedic Thunder Bay

Provide patient assessment and treatment as a Primary Care Paramedic with the City of Thunder Bay, supporting safe, timely ambulance transport.
Under the Superintendent of EMS Operations, you will perform controlled medical acts, monitor patients, and deliver care during emergency responses. Your work follows applicable Acts, Basic Life Support Patient Care Standards, Advanced Life Support Patient Care Standards, and Ministry requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to ambulance calls within specified timeframes
Assess environmental risks and patient safety needs
Conduct patient triage, assessment, and evaluation
Administer care under required patient care standards
Document ambulance calls and incidents accurately
Requirements:
Meet Ambulance Act primary care paramedic qualifications
Complete mandatory Ministry and Superior North EMS training
Maintain an Ontario Class F licence or equivalent
Demonstrate interpersonal, customer service, and teamwork skills
Remain a competent driver under Corporation requirements
Apply patient care, monitoring, assessment, and safe transport skills as a Primary Care Paramedic serving Thunder Bay emergency patients.
