The Community:
This city, known proudly as the "Blueberry Capital of Georgia" —is a quiet, slow-paced city of around 3,500 residents anchoring Bacon County in the deep southern countryside of the state. Characterized by its rolling fields, rural charm, and strong sense of Southern hospitality, Alma offers a "Rockwellian," close-knit community ideal for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of major metropolitan areas.

Families are drawn to the Bacon County School District, which holds an overall B-plus rating. The local high school boasts a 95% graduation rate and partners directly with regional colleges for dual-enrollment and agricultural/technical career pathways.

It is a very budget-friendly place to establish roots. It ranks among the top 20 lowest cost-of-living areas in Georgia, featuring a median home value of approximately $96,400 to $180,000—well below national averages.
