Coordinate clinical and non-clinical research in Halifax, using participant recruitment, consent, documentation, and regulatory compliance skills. This is a full-time long assignment.
Nova Scotia Health seeks a Non-licensed Research Coordinator for the Department of Anesthesia, Pain Management and Perioperative Medicine. The position manages multiple studies, supports principal investigators, and coordinates research staff and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include ethics approvals, study procedures, budgets, monitoring visits, and data quality throughout grant-funded and industry-sponsored studies.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage multiple clinical and non-clinical research studies
Recruit and consent people participating in studies
Coordinate procedures, monitoring visits, and stakeholder communication
Oversee budgets, documentation, and regulatory compliance
Support protocol adherence, participant safety, and data quality
Requirements:
Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and experience
Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical trial regulatory guidelines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and internet
Knowledge of bookkeeping and effective communication skills
Relevant clinical experience or graduate degree considered an asset
