Healthcare Food Service Worker

Serve patient meals and support safe food service at Sechelt Hospital with Vancouver Coastal Health in Sechelt, British Columbia. Apply Food Safe protocols daily.
As a Food Service Worker, you will work within a client and family centered care model. Reporting to Food Services leadership, you will portion meals, prepare diet items, and maintain kitchen areas. The position supports patients, residents, families, visitors, and staff through respectful service.
Key Responsibilities:

Portion and serve patient and resident meals
Prepare sandwiches, salads, beverages, desserts, and diet items
Check meals and trays for dietary accuracy
Wash dishes, clean equipment, and sanitize work areas
Deliver trays and replenish food and paper supplies
Requirements:

Grade 10 education and one year's recent related experience
Food Safe Certificate Level 1
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to organize work and operate related equipment
Physical ability to carry out position duties
Bring food preparation, dietary accuracy, and organized service skills to Vancouver Coastal Health at Sechelt Hospital.
