Lead AI engineering for KeyCite, combining Python, Java, and scalable backend systems in a hands-on technical leadership role.
As Senior Manager, AI Engineering, you will build and lead engineers across AI, data processing, backend services, and platform modernization. You will shape technical direction for KeyCite, a foundational Westlaw capability helping legal professionals navigate authority. The work spans generative AI, machine learning, and trusted legal workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Hire, mentor, and develop backend, platform, and AI engineers
Set scalable technical strategy and roadmap with partner teams
Lead generative AI and machine learning productionization
Modernize processing, publishing, and platform services
Establish architecture, reliability, testing, and AI evaluation standards
Requirements:
10+ years of experience, including 7+ years in software engineering
2+ years managing teams of 10 or more people
Hands-on Python, Java, and scalable distributed systems experience
Strong cloud experience, preferably AWS
Machine learning or generative AI production experience
