Colpitts Developments is seeking an Architectural Technologist/Designer for its in-house design team. You will support residential, multi-residential, and commercial projects while working with senior leadership, project managers, and consultants. The position combines design responsibility, technical knowledge, and construction awareness across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop architectural drawings and design packages through construction
Prepare permit-ready and construction-ready drawing sets
Interpret Canadian building codes and relevant bylaws
Coordinate designs with structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil consultants
Support active builds through site visits and construction coordination
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or related field
Five-plus years in architectural design or technologist roles
Strong knowledge of Canadian building codes, especially Part 3
Residential and multi-residential project experience
CAD-based design software proficiency and organizational skills
Bring technical design judgment, code expertise, and CAD capability to Colpitts Developments projects in Fredericton.
