This Journeyperson Welder position supports heavy equipment maintenance and repair in an industrial shop environment. You will repair, fabricate, and assemble Komatsu and other heavy-duty equipment. The work includes blueprint interpretation, failure analysis, customized components, and occasional field service.
Key Responsibilities:
Repair, fabricate, and assemble heavy-duty industrial equipment
Interpret blueprints, layouts, and work orders accurately
Customize mobile equipment for customer specifications
Complete structural and component welding repairs
Maintain safe, organized work areas
Requirements:
Journeyperson Welder certification
Mining equipment maintenance and repair experience
Strong blueprint and technical drawing interpretation
Equipment troubleshooting and repair solution experience
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Bring technical welding expertise, safe work practices, and equipment repair experience to SMS Equipment’s Timmins operations.
