Site Overview
This role serves key healthcare facilities across the Cranbrook region. Our healthcare security operations focus on maintaining a safe, welcoming, and accessible environment for medical staff, patients, and visitors across all local sites.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Mobile Healthcare Security Guard, your main priority is safely transporting medical teams and patients and protecting local healthcare facilities. Your day-to-day duties include:
Safely escorting medical teams and patients to and from healthcare facilities throughout the region.
Patrolling regional healthcare facilities to ensure property is secure and accessible.
Maintaining a visible, professional, and approachable security presence.
Responding promptly to incidents, disturbances, and hospital emergency codes.
Using de-escalation and non-violent crisis intervention techniques to manage aggressive behavior.
Writing clear, detailed incident reports and logs to help address security concerns and improve site safety.
Must Haves
Valid BC Security License
Valid BC Class 5 driver's license
Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Strong spoken and written communication, observation, and conflict resolution skills
Ability to stay calm, professional, and empathetic in high-stress situations
Physical ability to perform duty requirements, including standing, walking, and responding to emergency calls
Completion of required training and certifications before site deployment
Nice-to-Haves
Previous experience in a healthcare security environment
Familiarity with hospital emergency codes and procedures
