Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited is seeking a Certified Electrician for its P&H Milling division. The position maintains plant electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electromechanical, and PLC-controlled equipment. It supports safe, efficient production through troubleshooting, scheduled maintenance, documentation, and compliance with food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment
Troubleshoot, repair, test, and calibrate operational equipment
Complete inspections and building maintenance as required
Maintain records using maintenance management software
Support spare parts inventory and procurement planning
Requirements:
Certified Journeyman Electrician qualification
Red Seal certification considered an asset
Minimum one year electrical experience, preferably industrial
Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and electrical systems
Flexibility for after-hours and weekend on-call rotations
Use electrical, mechanical, and PLC troubleshooting expertise to maintain safe, efficient milling operations at P&H Milling in Halifax.
