You will anticipate issues, navigate complex files, pitch proactive stories, and engage local and national media. The role supports public communication across television, radio, online, and print platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan press conferences, technical briefings, and on-site media opportunities
Develop accessible materials from complex or technical information
Pitch proactive stories to local and national media outlets
Respond to high volumes of media inquiries
Prepare spokespeople and provide interview support
Requirements:
Post-secondary education in journalism, communications, or marketing
Extensive corporate communications or public affairs experience
Extensive proactive and reactive media relations experience
Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
Experience serving as a media spokesperson is an asset
