Lead building services at The Shores, a Verve Elite residence, using facilities leadership and preventative maintenance expertise. Support resident well-being through safe, clean operations.
Verve Senior Living seeks a Director of Building Services for a modern retirement residence. You will oversee maintenance, building systems, housekeeping, and laundry operations. The position requires management experience, knowledge of regulated environments, and strong organizational, computer, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry operations
Oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems
Maintain preventative maintenance and asset management programs
Manage departmental budgets, inventories, schedules, and vendors
Conduct audits, training, recruitment, and performance reviews
Requirements:
Building Operators Certificate or recognized Ontario skilled trade
Minimum five years management experience in relevant operations
Knowledge of Ontario Fire Code, Building Code, and TSSA
Strong computer, organizational, leadership, and crisis management skills
Proficient English and resident-focused professional approach
