Controller Accounting Operations Vancouver
BC Building Science Ltd.
Drive accounting operations and internal controls as Controller with BC Building Science Ltd., a growing professional engineering firm in Vancouver.
Reporting directly to the VP Finance and Corporate Services, you will lead core accounting processes and strengthen financial stewardship. This hands-on leadership role combines technical accounting, financial reporting, commercial analysis, and practical recommendations. You will collaborate with project managers, operational leaders, and senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage accounting processes, reconciliations, and journal entries
Ensure compliance with accounting, tax, and reporting obligations
Provide variance analysis and actionable financial insights
Monitor accounts receivable, cash flow, and working capital
Supervise and mentor accounting team members
Requirements:
CPA designation with good-standing Canadian provincial membership
Seven-plus years in progressive accounting or finance roles
Experience as Controller, Accounting Manager, or comparable leader
Strong analytical, commercial, organizational, and communication skills
High integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to accuracy
Bring hands-on accounting leadership, control expertise, and commercial acumen to BC Building Science Ltd.’s Vancouver team.
