Energy Financial Modeling Analyst

Use financial modeling and commodity market analysis as a Marketing Analyst with Canadian Natural in Calgary, Alberta. Support strategic decisions across energy assets.
Reporting to the Financial Services Manager, this analyst supports strategic growth, commercial evaluations, financial analysis, and corporate development. The work spans valuation, economic evaluation, trade credit exposure, and diverse energy assets. Candidates bring finance, commerce, economics, accounting, or related education and relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop financial models, valuations, and economic evaluations
Support budgeting, forecasting, planning, and performance reporting
Analyze scenarios and sensitivities for strategic decisions
Monitor commodity markets, regulations, competitors, and industry trends
Prepare reporting and recommend trade security to management
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance, commerce, economics, accounting, or related discipline
Four to eight years of relevant finance or energy experience
Strong financial modeling and quantitative analysis capabilities
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI proficiency
Strong AI prompt engineering and communication skills
