Transmission Distribution Operations Supervisor

Lead transmission and distribution operations for FortisBC in the Kootenays, using resource planning and safety leadership across Castlegar and Creston.
This Operations Supervisor oversees resource management supporting transmission and distribution demands. The position schedules work, leads Power-line Technicians, manages operational budgets, and maintains reliability standards. It requires electric power infrastructure knowledge, project management knowledge, and supervisory experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule, prioritize, and delegate transmission and distribution work
Anticipate medium-term resource requirements for operational needs
Lead technical teams and establish goals and priorities
Manage project budgets and monitor operational costs
Implement safety and mandatory reliability standards
Requirements:
Power Line Technician qualification with four to seven years’ experience
Transmission and distribution operations, construction, and supervisory experience
Working knowledge of electric power system infrastructure
Working knowledge of project management and transmission systems
Knowledge of safety policies, MS Office, labour relations, and budgets
