Earthworks Surveyor Blackwater Mine

Apply earthworks surveying expertise at Blackwater Mine, using RTK GPS, total stations, and CAD for construction control. Worksite location and rotation are specified.
BW Gold seeks a Surveyor, Earthworks reporting to the Project Engineer and Project Coordinator. The fixed-term contract runs through December 2028 on a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off rotation. You will provide geospatial data and control supporting safe, efficient earthworks construction, production, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily earthworks surveying and support mine departments
Interpret engineering drawings and produce CAD or Deswik layouts
Process drone scans and deliver accurate as-built data
Maintain control points and monitor waste facilities using RTK GPS
Support construction layouts, concrete, rebar, and field-fit designs
Requirements:
Preferably one to two years surveying heavy civil earthworks
Experience with Leica, Topcon, or Trimble equipment
Proficiency setting up base stations and civil survey equipment
Unsupervised RTK GPS and total station experience
Ability to work between office and field environments
Support Blackwater Mine earthworks through accurate surveying, construction layouts, monitoring, and CAD-based deliverables.
