Employment Consultant Little Current

Support employment planning and job placement at Cambrian College’s Employment Options in Little Current, with client counselling and case management responsibilities.
This full-time Employment Consultant serves clients through Employment Options - Manitoulin. The position includes intake assessment, service planning, career direction, referrals, workshops, and placement support. The main location is Little Current, with travel between Employment Options sites and employer job sites required. You will document client needs, barriers, goals, progress, and employment outcomes while coordinating with employers and community services.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide information, referrals, case management, and job placement
Conduct intake interviews and document client needs
Develop, monitor, and adjust vocational service plans
Deliver workshops addressing ongoing client needs
Monitor placements, follow up, and support employment outcomes
Requirements:
Two-year related postsecondary diploma or equivalent
Three years’ career guidance, workshop, and placement experience
Experience assessing client needs and employment barriers
Valid Ontario Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiency
