Mechanical Engineering Design Specialist

This Mechanical Designer develops efficient design solutions by interpreting design intent and evaluating engineering requirements. The work includes calculations, material research, specifications, drawings, field reviews, and coordination with professional disciplines. Knowledge of building mechanical systems, construction technologies, and applicable codes supports projects through every phase.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze design intent and develop effective technical solutions
Conduct calculations, code research, and material investigations
Lay out components and calculate program and building areas
Perform site surveys and field reviews documenting conditions
Write engineering specifications for project manuals
Requirements:
Seven to ten years of project work experience
Experience with mechanical engineering building systems
AutoCAD and Revit MEP software proficiency
Mechanical engineering systems design software proficiency
Relevant engineering association registration considered an asset
Use calculations, specifications, site documentation, and coordination skills to advance NORR building engineering designs.
