Lead resident-centred nursing care as a Registered Practical Nurse with Yee Hong in a temporary part-time mixed-shift assignment. Use clinical judgment and compassionate communication daily.
Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care seeks a Registered Practical Nurse for approximately six months, with possible extension. As Unit Nurse, you will supervise staff, coordinate resident care with interdisciplinary team members, and communicate with families. Care must reflect College of Nurses of Ontario standards and Yee Hong policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality, resident-centred nursing services
Supervise unit staff during daily operations
Coordinate resident care with interdisciplinary team members
Communicate with residents' families regarding care
Follow College of Nurses standards and organizational policies
Requirements:
Current Ontario Registered Practical Nurse Certificate of Competence
Current CPR Certificate
Good leadership, initiative, problem-solving, and judgment skills
Excellent customer service and computer literacy
Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Screen
