Funeral Services Family Care Assistant

Support grieving families as a Funeral Assistant at Westminster Funeral & Reception, using compassion, communication, and careful service coordination. Work indoors and outdoors, including scheduled services and visitations.
This newly created position supports Westminster Funeral & Reception’s continued organizational growth. You will interact directly with client families, provide information, assist with funeral services, and help maintain premier family satisfaction. The work requires teamwork, attention to detail, professionalism, and patience in emotional situations.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome visitors and provide requested information or assistance
Assist with casketed deceased and related item movement
Prepare lobbies, chapels, restrooms, and reception areas
Assist families entering and leaving limousines
Coordinate pallbearers, parking, visitations, and funeral services
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license in good standing
Lift 30 pounds and occasionally more than 80 pounds
Handle emotional situations professionally and compassionately
Communicate effectively with families and community contacts
Read, write, and speak English fluently
Bring empathy, accuracy, and dependable service to families receiving care through Westminster Funeral & Reception.
