Resident Care Health Care Aide

Deliver compassionate resident care as a Health Care Aide, assisting daily living, mobility, meals, and personal needs under a Nurse’s direction.
At Meadow Ridge Seniors Village, the HCA supports residents as a valued interdisciplinary team member. The work centers on individualized care plans, therapeutic relationships, resident choice, confidentiality, and participation in social, physical, spiritual, and recreational activities. Rotations cover 0700-1500, 1500-2300, and 2300-0700.
Key Responsibilities:
Build respectful therapeutic relationships with residents and families
Respect resident rights, confidentiality, choices, and autonomy
Safely lift, transfer, position, and ambulate residents
Assist designated residents with feeding and maintain intake records
Participate in care planning meetings and advocate for residents
Requirements:
Recognized Health Care Aide program graduation
Current Alberta Health Care Aide Directory registration
Genuine interest in caring for residents
Effective English communication and organized, resourceful work habits
Physical ability to carry out position duties
Use respectful communication, compassionate personal care, and safe mobility support to strengthen resident independence at Meadow Ridge.
