Caravel Law seeks an experienced lawyer with at least ten years of legal practice. You will manage complex employment and labour matters, advise corporate clients, and lead litigation. The work includes British Columbia and federal employment legislation, Alberta proceedings, and practical business objectives. Caravel lawyers work directly with clients and operate autonomously.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage complex employment and labour matters through resolution
Advise on hiring, compensation, discipline, terminations, and workplace policies
Lead wrongful dismissal actions and administrative proceedings
Conduct discoveries, motions, mediations, hearings, and settlement negotiations
Draft pleadings, opinions, agreements, and workplace policies
Requirements:
Law degree
Good standing with the Law Society of Alberta
Minimum ten years of legal practice experience
Clear, business-driven judgment under time pressure
Comfort operating autonomously and managing personal mandates
Bring senior employment litigation, labour expertise, and independent judgment to Caravel Law’s Alberta or Canada-remote practice.
