School Wellness Specialist Pelly Crossing

Support Yukon learners in Pelly Crossing through social work, restorative practices, and school-based wellness services. This is a full-time term position with 10% travel.
As School Wellness Specialist at Eliza Van Bibber School, you will support students, families, and staff through direct services and consultation. The role collaborates with Selkirk First Nation, educators, community providers, and Student Support Services. Supports are grounded in Selkirk First Nations ways and contribute to learner success.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct wellness supports to students, families, and staff
Offer assessments, consultation, case management, counseling, and referrals
Collaborate with Selkirk First Nation and school staff
Identify learner concerns and provide supportive services
Implement restorative and developmentally responsive support systems
Requirements:
Post-secondary degree in social work or equivalent
Experience supporting children and youth socially and emotionally
Training in restorative practices or related response methods
Eligible for Canadian social work registration
Valid Class 5 driver’s license and security clearance
