Play Based Program Assistant Educator
Upper Canada Child Care
Build developmentally appropriate programs as an Assistant Educator with Upper Canada Child Care at St. Cecilia CS. in Alliston, fully in-centre.
This full-time position offers 30 hours weekly and requires Monday-Friday availability for six-hour shifts. The Assistant Educator applies legislative expectations, supports play-based learning, documents children’s experiences, and helps meet Ministry and organizational guidelines through professional communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply Ministry requirements and organizational program standards
Participate in training, meetings, and professional development
Collaborate with coworkers and school personnel
Guide students and volunteers when needed
Identify children needing additional support
Requirements:
Experience with inquiry or play-based program design
Pedagogical documentation experience considered an asset
Effective written and verbal communication
Calm, professional conflict-resolution skills
Ability to supervise children in varied settings
Use program design, documentation, and communication skills to support children through play-based learning in Alliston.
