Rural Paediatrician Staff Specialist MLHD

Deliver paediatric services in Griffith’s rural setting, using specialist clinical expertise and leadership across a growing MLHD team. Permanent and contract options are available.
As a Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist Paediatrician, you will support children’s services at Griffith Base Hospital. The hospital includes ten Children’s Ward inpatient beds, four paediatric day surgery beds, and four Special Care Nursery beds. The position offers full-time or part-time arrangements and opportunities to teach and supervise medical students. You will promote quality and safety while contributing to training, supervision, and education.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver paediatric care within Griffith Base Hospital
Promote quality and safety in patient care
Lead, train, supervise, and educate clinical staff
Teach and supervise medical students
Respond onsite through the on-call roster
Requirements:
Unconditional specialist registration with the Medical Board
Recent paediatric clinical experience at required service level
Effective multidisciplinary leadership and teamwork
Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and information technology skills
Commitment to continuing education and research
Bring specialist paediatric care, multidisciplinary leadership, and teaching experience to Griffith Base Hospital’s expanding rural service.
