Keep a 299-room hotel operating safely through facilities maintenance, equipment checks, and responsive guest service. Work takes place across the Markham property.
Courtyard and TownePlace Suites Toronto Northeast Markham is hiring a full-time union Maintenance Worker. This position supports building quality through repairs, preventive maintenance, equipment monitoring, and facility upkeep. You will also document completed tasks, manage supplies, and coordinate daily service with other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Check and repair plumbing systems, fixtures, kitchen, and laundry equipment
Refurbish guest-room furniture, fixtures, doors, windows, and counters
Keep exterior areas, grounds, pool, and sports facilities safe
Secure inventory, replenish supplies, and minimize waste
Coordinate with departments while delivering courteous guest responses
Requirements:
One or more years of general maintenance and repair experience
High school diploma or related vocational training preferred
Understanding of building equipment and hand tools
Ability to bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and handle equipment
Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
Support reliable hotel operations with building repairs, preventive maintenance, equipment care, and attentive service for guests and staff.
