Practice general internal medicine at Comox Valley Hospital, supporting inpatient care, intensive care coverage, and outpatient services in Comox.
The Comox Valley Campus of North Island Hospital seeks full-time General Internal Medicine specialists. Clinical work includes inpatient coverage, telemetry and ICU weeks, mandatory medicine call, and outpatient practice. Applicants will also have opportunities to interpret hospital ECGs, Holter monitors, and Exercise Stress tests.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide inpatient general internal medicine coverage
Cover scheduled telemetry unit and ICU weeks
Participate in the medicine call schedule
Deliver outpatient general internal medicine services
Teach UBC students and medical residents
Requirements:
Hold FRCPC certification or equivalent
Be eligible for British Columbia medical licensure
Meet Internal Medicine eligibility requirements
Hold USA Internal Medicine certification, where applicable
Consider permanent specialty practice in Comox
