Windows Server Infrastructure Analyst
City of Edmonton
Monitor Windows Server, VMware ESXi, storage, and backup infrastructure for Edmonton Police Service in Edmonton. Resolve complex performance and availability issues across critical services.
This temporary full-time Application and Infrastructure Analyst II position supports physical and virtual infrastructure administration. You will analyze system health, maintain Veeam recovery solutions, investigate logs, and assist with Microsoft Defender implementation. The role also requires collaboration across technology teams and hands-on support when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor Windows Server performance, availability, and system health
Maintain VMware, Fibre Channel, and hyperconverged storage environments
Monitor and troubleshoot Veeam backup and recovery solutions
Investigate unusual system logs and network activity
Resolve infrastructure requests using diagnostic and tracking tools
Requirements:
Experience with supported Windows Server operating systems
Experience with VMware ESXi server 8.x and storage networks
Experience with enterprise backup solutions and server hardware
Ability to research unfamiliar systems and self-learn quickly
Ability to lift up to 35 kilograms
Use Windows Server, virtualization, storage, and recovery expertise to strengthen Edmonton Police Service infrastructure reliability.
