Multimedia Writer Communications Specialist

Shape Toronto Region stories through sharp writing, editing, and digital content in Toronto Global’s flexible hybrid communications team. Work downtown three days weekly.
Toronto Global seeks a mid-senior Multimedia Writer & Storyteller for a full-time, 12-month contract. You will turn complex topics into clear content across web, social, and video. The work includes headlines, scripts, features, campaign content, and interview-based narratives for international business audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Support client announcements, events, and press conferences
Draft media products and corporate social media content
Develop content calendars and SEO-informed copy
Monitor media, trends, statistics, news, and reports
Turn Toronto Region research into audience-focused stories
Requirements:
Post-secondary education in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field
Minimum two years’ communications or marketing experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of major social platforms and best practices
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and WordPress
Bring storytelling, SEO copywriting, social media knowledge, and careful editing to Toronto Global’s international communications work.
