Hotel Public Relations Manager
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts
Lead public relations for Fairmont Waterfront in Vancouver, using media strategy and crisis communications within a luxury hospitality setting.
This Public Relations and Communications Manager develops hotel communication programs and maintains relationships with press, industry partners, and community stakeholders. The role combines public relations planning, media relations, partnership management, and executive communications to support Fairmont Waterfront’s objectives. It also advances environmental and social initiatives through community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop annual public relations plans, budgets, and partnership event budgets
Build relationships with local, regional, national, and international media
Manage crisis communications programs and serve as hotel spokesperson
Write press releases, media advisories, press kits, and listings
Manage brand, philanthropic, media, and community partnerships
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or hotel management diploma or degree required
At least three years of public relations experience
Luxury brand, hotel sales, or hospitality experience preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills mandatory
Canadian work authorization and flexible travel availability
