Support public development questions and municipal planning applications as a full-time Planner with the RDKB. Microsoft suite skills are essential.
This permanent position belongs to the Planning and Development Department and reports to the Current Planning Supervisor. The Planner processes current applications, reviews provincial referrals, and provides customer service to the public and development community. Public engagement may occasionally require work outside regular hours.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide customer service on planning matters
Answer questions from public and development community
Process current planning applications
Handle provincial referrals within current planning duties
Participate in occasional after-hours public engagement
Requirements:

Planning or related discipline bachelor degree
At least one year in a planning office
Local government planning experience preferred
Eligible for Planning Institute or Canadian Institute membership
Ability to learn new software and valid Class 5 licence
Bring municipal planning experience, software proficiency, and public service capability to RDKB development inquiries and application processing.
