AVENS seeks a skilled culinary professional for its brand new, state-of-the-art kitchen. Reporting to the Food Services Manager, this Casual Cook prepares healthy meals for 57 residents. The position requires culinary education and commercial or institutional cooking experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare nutritious meals for AVENS’ 57 residents
Support healthy meal preparation across resident dining needs
Account for special diets during cooking
Work within an institutional cooking setting
Requirements:
Completed culinary program
Minimum two years commercial or institutional cooking experience
Elderly-care experience is an asset
Food Safe Certification and WHMIS 2015 are assets
Maintain a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector record check
