Care Home Housekeeping Assistant

Support resident wellbeing as a Housekeeping Assistant in Dartmouth, Devon, using careful cleaning and laundry skills. Weekend work is required.
The Fleet Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, seeks a Housekeeping Assistant for a varied, hands-on role. You will maintain clean, safe, welcoming spaces for residents receiving Residential, Nursing, Dementia, and Respite care. Attention to detail, organisation, and hygiene awareness support high standards throughout the home.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean residents’ rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas
Maintain high hygiene and presentation standards
Wash, dry, iron, and return clothing correctly
Label and handle laundry items with care
Follow infection control and housekeeping procedures
Requirements:
Positive and reliable approach to daily work
Good attention to detail and organisation
Ability to work independently and within a team
Understanding of hygiene and infection control beneficial
Weekend availability and previous experience welcomed
