Assistant Grounds Equipment Manager
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts
Lead alpine grounds and equipment operations at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in Banff National Park, using landscaping knowledge and strong leadership skills.
The Assistant Grounds and Equipment Manager supports grounds maintenance, landscaping, and equipment management for the hotel. This role supervises the Groundskeeping team and communicates with the executive team. Previous landscaping, vehicle maintenance, or groundskeeping experience supports success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise Groundskeeping colleagues and coordinate seasonal activities
Plan environmentally friendly alpine landscape projects
Coordinate ice rinks, ice structures, and outdoor events
Manage equipment, vehicles, repairs, and preventative maintenance
Develop safety procedures and operating standards
Requirements:
Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or vehicle maintenance experience
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
Knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance
Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
Valid Alberta driver's license with recent abstract
