Fraud Risk Operations Associate

Shape fraud risk operations for Brex’s intelligent finance platform. Vancouver-based hybrid work offers collaboration across Risk, Engineering, Product, and Data Science.
This Fraud Strategy Associate role spans Brex’s credit, deposit, and card payment rails. You will build scalable operational processes, manage investigation workflows, and define technical requirements for AI-driven tools. Your analysis will support detection, reporting, and prevention while maintaining a frictionless experience for legitimate customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Optimize fraud investigation processes and operational documentation
Manage requirements for AI-driven and third-party risk platforms
Partner with Risk, Analytics, Engineering, and Product teams
Monitor false positives, fraud capture, and turnaround times
Deploy defensive strategies against emerging fraud vectors
Requirements:
Three-plus years in fraud strategy, risk operations, or data operations
Experience within financial services or high-growth fintech
SQL and/or Python skills for data wrangling and modeling
Proven scalable process and complex project management ability
Clear synthesis of analysis into executive narratives
Bring operational discipline, fraud expertise, and analytical communication to Brex’s Vancouver risk ecosystem across critical payment rails.
