Operate Cenovus’s Wapiti oil battery near Grande Prairie using field operations, compression troubleshooting, and production optimization expertise. Work a full-time 8-on, 6-off shift rotation.
As an experienced Wapiti Operator, you will independently manage wells, pipelines, compression systems, and related facilities. Your work supports safe, reliable, efficient operations across the Northern Corridor Operations team. You will also coordinate contractors, call-outs, start-ups, reporting, and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize wells and facilities
Manage compression systems, pipelines, treating, and sales activities
Conduct hazard assessments and initiate Safe Work Permits
Supervise contractors and support maintenance execution
Record downtime coding and production data accurately
Requirements:

Minimum Grade 12 education
Minimum five years of experience
Legal authorization to work in Canada
Maintain a Class 5 driver’s license and satisfactory record
Complete required medical and alcohol or drug assessments
