Explore Edmonton seeks a Health and Safety Manager reporting to the Director, Facilities & Engineering. You will oversee policies, procedures, safety systems, and compliance across the venue. The role supports contractor safety, emergency preparedness, and proactive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee health and safety programs across Edmonton Convention Centre
Maintain policies, procedures, and safe work practices
Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments
Investigate incidents using root cause analysis
Deliver training, orientations, and toolbox talks
Requirements:
Post-secondary education in occupational health and safety or related field
Minimum five years of health and safety experience
Knowledge of Alberta Occupational Health & Safety legislation
Experience managing contractor or vendor safety programs
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems
Bring safety leadership, regulatory knowledge, and risk expertise to Edmonton Convention Centre operations at Explore Edmonton.
