The work combines production communication, short-term physical gas trading, market analysis, and scheduling coordination. You will provide market information, maintain pricing databases, and prepare meeting materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate production expectations with operations teams
Form production optimization views using market fundamentals
Trade short-term production positions to generate P&L
Coordinate market positions with scheduling teams
Maintain market data spreadsheets and pricing databases
Requirements:
Post-secondary degree in business, economics, math, statistics, or engineering
5+ years in natural gas commercial or front-office roles
Strong understanding of Alberta natural gas markets
Experience trading short-term physical gas in Alberta
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
