Commercial property underwriting expertise drives this Toronto opportunity with HDI Global SE, focused on power, energy, and mining risks.
As a Senior or Executive Property Underwriter, you will manage commercial property risks within Corporate Underwriting. You will support profitable growth through risk selection, portfolio performance, broker relationships, and underwriting strategy. The role reports to the Head of Property Underwriting.
Key Responsibilities:
Underwrite commercial property risks across priority industry sectors
Drive national portfolio growth through the underwriting lifecycle
Manage portfolio performance and strengthen broker relationships
Represent Property in the market and refine underwriting practices
Align strategy with Canadian brokers and German Head Office colleagues
Requirements:
Minimum seven years commercial property underwriting experience
Bachelor's degree and Chartered Insurance Professional designation
Excellent technical underwriting and analytical skills
Strong negotiation and relationship-management capabilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
