Platform Engineer AWS Infrastructure
Rootly
Build reliable AWS infrastructure at Rootly as a Platform Engineer, working across Terraform, observability, CI/CD, and security hardening.
As a Platform Engineer on Infrastructure, you will share responsibility for Rootly’s cloud infrastructure and platform reliability. You will contribute across AWS, Terraform, Datadog, CI/CD, datastores, and security, while building depth across the platform. The work supports Rootly’s incident management platform used by NVIDIA, DoorDash, Uber, Canva, Tripadvisor, and Squarespace.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Rootly’s AWS infrastructure as code
Build credential rotation for databases, Redis, and application secrets
Tune alerting around customer impact and observability spend
Participate in multi-region failover drills
Write runbooks, documentation, and lasting platform fixes
Requirements:
Three or more years building or running production systems
Hands-on AWS and Terraform or OpenTofu experience
Monitoring and alerting experience with Datadog or similar
Production on-call and incident response experience
Ability to write code for infrastructure problems
Bring AWS, Terraform, observability, and incident response experience to Rootly’s infrastructure platform and reliability work.
