Translate 2D designs, reference material, and artistic direction into production surfacing while preserving artistic intent.
Key Responsibilities:

Texture characters, creatures, and costumes for production assets
Create stylized and physically plausible shaders
Interpret designs and reference material for production surfacing
Maintain project style and department conventions
Communicate with surfacing leadership, production, and teammates
Requirements:

Three-plus years in shading, surfacing, and texturing
Three-plus years in animated features, VFX films, or episodics
Proficiency with Mari and Maya
Strong visual, technical, communication, and organizational skills
Understanding of lighting, colour theory, standards, and formats
Bring character surfacing, look development, and texturing expertise to Netflix Animation Studios’ Vancouver feature film work.
