Silicon Photonics Hardware Systems Lead

Lead silicon photonics hardware systems at Lightmatter, designing PCBAs and interfaces for AI infrastructure in a hybrid work model.
As Hardware Systems Technical Lead, you will guide system development for artificial intelligence accelerators and scale-out interconnect platforms. You will collaborate with architects, electrical, mechanical, packaging, IC, firmware, photonics, and software teams. The work spans concept, integration, verification, validation, and production.
Key Responsibilities:
Define photonic AI infrastructure hardware systems with system architects
Own development from concept through production release
Develop PCBAs meeting electrical, power, and interface requirements
Lead bench bring-up, EVT/DVT, integration, and validation
Maintain schematics, test plans, reviews, and validation documentation
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Seven or more years of relevant industry experience
Complex hardware systems delivered from concept through production
Deep knowledge of VRMs, high-speed SerDes, PCIe, and Ethernet
Experience leading electrical, mechanical, and firmware troubleshooting
Apply hardware leadership, silicon photonics knowledge, and system integration expertise to Lightmatter's AI infrastructure platforms.
