Lead legal claims teams at Intact in Dartmouth, applying litigation expertise and people development in a permanent, full-time hybrid work model.
As Manager, Legal Claims, you will oversee in-house Lawyers and guide their employee experience. You will collaborate with Claims Adjusters and management on challenging files, strategy, and operations. Your work will include coaching, quality reviews, change management, and productivity analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily responsibilities of in-house Lawyers
Establish and measure team performance objectives
Coach, mentor, and provide ongoing feedback
Review legal files and provide training
Analyze reports and monitor legal trends
Requirements:
LL.B or J.D. degree
Good standing with Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society
Knowledge of Nova Scotia Civil Procedure Rules
Insurance and related law knowledge
Experience leading large teams and driving change
Bring litigation leadership, communication, and project management expertise to Intact’s in-house legal claims team in Dartmouth.
