Advanced Care Paramedic Valleyview EMS

Advanced life support and emergency assessment define this full-time Advanced Care Paramedic position with Valleyview EMS in Valleyview, Alberta. Work rotating shifts, weekends, and on call while supporting patients across remote locations.
As an Advanced Care Paramedic with Emergency Health Services, you will assess emergency scenes and patients, provide advanced clinical care, and transport individuals between locations. The position includes medication administration, airway management, electrical therapy, and possible leadership of ALS teams. You will also help maintain ambulance readiness and support non-emergent transport vehicles. The environment requires travel through varied weather and demanding physical conditions. Experience across metro, suburban, rural, or interfacility EMS settings is preferred, alongside other health care or public safety experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess emergency scenes and patients during emergency responses
Administer medications and provide advanced life support care
Use airway adjuncts and deliver electrical therapy
Lead ALS teams during scenes or patient transport
Maintain stocked, equipped, and operational transport vehicles
Requirements:
Non-restricted ACP registration with Alberta College of Paramedics
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support CPR certification
Valid Class 4 Alberta licence or equivalent
Five-year driver abstract with no more than six demerits
Ability to complete full operational duties from the start date
Bring advanced patient care, emergency assessment, and transport expertise to Advanced Care Paramedic service at Valleyview EMS.
