Licensed Practical Nurse Operating Room

Provide patient-centred nursing care as a Licensed Practical Nurse Operating Room Technician at Provost Health Centre in regular part-time work. Apply critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making within an interprofessional team.
This Licensed Practical Nurse position serves the Operating Room, Emergency, and Acute Care programs. You will use nursing processes and demonstrated skills while following applicable legislation, standards, policies, and procedures. The role supports safe, high-quality care for patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide safe, high-quality patient and family-centred care
Use nursing processes in daily clinical practice
Apply critical thinking to patient care situations
Use problem solving and decision making skills
Work within an interprofessional health care team
Requirements:
Complete an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program
Hold active or eligible Alberta practical nurse registration
Maintain a current Basic Cardiac Life Support certificate
Hold a Peri-operative Certificate for operating room practice
Have one to two years of operating room experience preferred
Use practical nursing expertise, peri-operative preparation, and clinical judgment to support patients at Provost Health Centre.
