Child and Youth Mental Health Worker

Support student mental health and well-being as a Child and Youth Worker at Pope Francis Elementary School in Timmins. Apply social-emotional skills in culturally responsive ways.
This permanent full-time Child and Youth Worker position supports students through skill building and positive change. You will work closely with school staff while helping students identify and manage emotions, strengthen relationships, build self-awareness, and solve problems. The position is unionized and represented by CUPE Local 4681.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide culturally responsive social-emotional support to students
Support student mental health and overall well-being
Help students identify and manage emotions
Develop stress management and relationship skills
Foster belonging, engagement, and positive change
Requirements:
College diploma in Child and Youth Worker or Social Work
Equivalent experience and training may be considered
Excellent written communication skills in English
Excellent verbal communication skills in English
Three professional references, including a current immediate supervisor
Bring culturally responsive support, communication, and student skill-building expertise to Pope Francis Elementary School in Timmins.
