Play-Based Early Childhood Educator
Compass Early Learning and Care
Lead play-based learning at Compass Early Learning and Care in Keene, Ontario, using observation and active supervision to support children’s development.
As a contract Program Educator, you will plan interest-based activities reflecting children’s unique interests. You will support physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development while collaborating with families, coworkers, and community partners. The schedule is Monday to Friday, within program hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and lead interest-based, play-based learning activities
Maintain active supervision while engaging children in play
Document learning through observation, reflection, and research questions
Support children with diapering, dressing, and eating habits
Foster family relationships and involve families in learning
Requirements:
One to three years working with children and youth
Familiarity with Child Care Early Years Act requirements
Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification
Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check and updated immunizations
High School Diploma or GED; applicants must be eighteen
